You’ll find the Albufereta beach in the northwestern part of Alicante, the preferred beach of the locals and one of the busiest areas during the summer holidays. If you decide to stay in hotels in Albufereta, you can easily reach Alicante centre by car or by public transport. Previously, during Roman times, there was a harbor here, most likely a big commercial port. Today, it is an important archaeological area situated between cliffs. It’s also a residential area and local citizens are very close to the beach. With golden sand, blue sea, and yachts departing from here, Albufereta is one of Alicante’s most popular spots among tourists.
